Control surfaces not working after PY 2024.3 update.

Is anyone else having trouble with their S1/Dock setup after updating to PT 2024.3? It took a lot of rebooting and redoing the surface assignments in the EuControl Settings to get things going at all. Now, all the surfaces assigned in the "Surfaces" page but soft keys don't load. They did once and saved a new "ProTools 24Mac.xml", but now I can't load it after a new reboot. When I launch EuControl, all the tablets respond and load the screens with shadows of the channels, the S1s and Dock OLED displays switch from the AVID logo to the empty bars ready to go when the session opens, but when the session opens the faders and displays don't do anything. I haven't changed anything except for install the new Pro Tools. I don't know why things have to be such a PITA with these updates.

Add your newly installed Pro Tools to your Application whitelist in Eucontrol.
Previous pro tools identifies as 23Mac. New pro tools identifies as 24Mac. Eucon ignores the new Pro Tools because it doesn't know it can interact with it.

These instructions are written in the install documents.

I came back to this thread because I did figure it out. It is like you say, but "Pro Tools 24Mac" isn't in the list automatically. "Pro Tools 23Mac" was there but I had to select the "+" on the Application focus for it to appear. It's working now but it seems like it should be a little less of a hassle.

You would have added 23Mac in the first place manually (same way)
Once the whitelist has entries, it always uses those.
If the whitelist is empty then it would have worked automatically.
(Next year you'll have to do the same thing so make a mental note)

We've changed this behavior in our next release so that the program name is generic (Pro Tools instead of Pro Tools 24Mac)

You've opened the latest pro tools (2024.3), have it in focus and then went to the Application whitelist in Eucontrol? And it's not showing as the currently focused app (only then can you hit the + to add it)?
Is the green Eucon button (not the "led" light under that) enabled in Pro Tools.

Yes, latest ProTools 2024.3 and EuControl enabled. However, after reinstalling EuControl app from within AVID Link and restarting, I was able to add ProTools24 in whitelist. Control Surface is now working.
It’s possible I didn’t have the latest version of EuControl app installed, so my bad. If ProTools app is automatically updated without prompting, maybe the EuControl app should also be?

Thanks so very much, I was able to get mine working after some hints from you guys. I Just left the whitelist blank, and it worked right away..... After hours of troubleshooting, the answer was too simple!

I am using an M-Audio Axiom, with Direct Link and since the 2024.3 update it is getting the HUI cant detect device. Does anyone have any insight on this?
