Default Most Reliable External Back Up Drive???

I think the title says it all. Which external drives do you have the most trust in? I'm looking for something in the 1-3 TB capacity.

OWC (other world computing) has some really nice enclosures

i think the brand is mercury

you can buy a nice western digital terra from fry's for cheap

under $150 i think...certainly no more than $189

and put loads on it

but the best solutions is have a back up for your back up

time comsuming

and keep it in a different building if you really wanna play hard ball

also make your clients have their own drive

more an more clients are getting their own drives it seems

finally threw out over 20 years of multi track tapes in my litttle studio storage closet....gone ...goodbye....sorry to seem leave

Check out the Pacific Pro Audio drive from http://www.pacificproaudio.com/drives.asp

They run the Oxford 911+ chip which is recommended by DigiDesign. Not only a great backup drive, but also a great tracking drive.

ALL the major studios in the Seattle area use these drives.

Best of luck
jason
