I Need a RELIABE External Hard Drive for Backup
I have had no luck with backup hard drives. Twice, I've lost files in my hard drive (internal). When I went to retreive them from my external hard drive (having previously saved the files there), I was unable. In fact, I got the same exact missing file messages as with the computer hard drive. My first external hard drive was an Acomdata drive and it lost the audio files. PT support said that Acomdata was a bad brand, and that I needed something with the 911 chipset. I got a Maxtor with the 911 chipset, but it, too has lost audio files. I've got an iMac (PPC, not Intel), which has firewire 400 and 800 ports. My interface is the PMIO. I just want something that's going to save my audio files properly. Any recommendations would help. Thanks!
