Workspace catalog files lost
Hey Folks. While troubleshooting an issue, I trashed my prefs with Pete Gates' "Pro Tools Prefs 2". Subsequently restored them with the app, but my workspace catalogs were not restored. Where are these files kept, so I can dig into a possible backup to get them back? Or am my missing something with Pete's app that will get them back?

Catalog files should be in the Workspace file (Workspace.wksp) which is stored in Users/Shared/Pro Tools.
This will be backed up to ~/Documents/PT Prefs 2/backup date/Shared/Workspace.wksp Can you see a backed up file there? Cheers, Pete

Just tested creating catalogs/quitting Pro Tools/trashing Workspace/starting Pro Tools/Catalogs gone/quitting Pro Tools/restoring Workspace/catalogs back.

Awesome. Thanks Pete. Is there a setting in the app to restore the workspace with the other prefs after trashing or is it always a manual thing?

Hey Tim,
You can restore all prefs from a backup set on the Restore page. You can't selectively restore currently (working on that right this second actually!). If you want to restore just the Workspace you will need to do that manually. Cheers, Pete

I did the "restore" button, but the catalogs didn't come back, other prefs did however.

Hmmmm, and have you looked in your backup sets to see if there are backups of the Workspace.wksp file?

If you have trashed prefs multiple times you might need to look through several backups - possibly for the Workspace file that is larger.
