Axiom pro 61 freezing in pro tools 9. please help?

Every now and then is freezing. I have to restart both the keyboard and pro tools to get them working again.
Any idea? Is there a firmware update or something? I have installed the latest drivers from AVID's site.

I don't really know what info you need. I'm using win 7 64 bits, pro tools 9.
Just bought an Axiom pro 61 and it works for a while then it crashes (meaning it stops responding to knobs and updating the display and it looks like there's no more "hypercontrol" connection to pro tools). I can't figure out when or why it crashes but it does. I have to restart everything to get it working again.
Never thought a MIDI controller can crash.
It's getting very frustrating.

I don't really know. It might be the encoders as you say but I always forget what I did last when it's freezing. I like the keyboard but it looks like it's the least supported keyboard. Enigma doesn't support it and I hear is discontinued, the last beta personality file for it doesn't work or maybe it's made for Axiom and not pro, so no editor for it to ease our work, and AVID says "You HAVE to do all the programming on the keyboard itself", Hypercontrol is a bit of a joke... Here you have a super duper controller but don't touch too many knobs because it will crash. They're there just for the estetics. It looks like this product have been abandoned before it's release already.
Very dissapointing.
Since I've joined AVID products about a month ago I've had only troubleshooting work and no productivity.
I can not work like this restarting everything every 5-10 mins when the controller crashes. This is absolutely not acceptable.

Axiom Pro driver the latest from AVID's site. v. 1.0.0.22

No, you should be running Axiom Pro 6.0.1 (64). Grab it from M-Audio under downloads.

That is the one I'm running. That's just the release name. The driver version in 6.0.1 is 1.0.0.22
