Default world clock

hi could anyone give me some detail on world clock i have a dr8 akai digital hardisk recorder i was wondering if i could sync wit delta 1010lt and m-aidio protools 7.1

What type of sync connections are available on the DR8 and the 1010LT ?
If both have BNC word clock, it's a simple yes.
That of course covers the sampling clock sync, not positional sync. Might need SMPTE or MTC for that.

it dont have midi but have scuzzi hook up i just wanted make it sink up wit protools just in case my computer go down i still can record wit dr8 then later transfer it to protools

Are you talking about word clock or world clock.
They are two different things.
Word clock will give you sample sync as Andrew pointed out.
World clock will give you a SMPTE time of day reference for multiple sources to lock and jam to.
