Mc Control not connecting at all

I got my new MC Control last night. Pretty little thing, but I can't get it to connect to my mac. I installed the software (EuControl) and plugged the MC Control to the same switch the mac is on, turned on the MC Control, but the little grey icon on the screen is still grey, and the control surface still shows only the "Euphonix" logo. I've tried to update EuControl, changing cables, connect the control surface directly to the mac, but nothing works.
Have any of you encountered this problem? Is there anything I can do about it?

Hi desafio,

you should look at your system preferences and there under your network connection, if the MC Control has a green light at your ethernet port.
At one of our MC´s i have to set a fixed ip adress to get it to work. DHCP won´t work.
