Default CD-R Recommendations?

Well I need to get some more CD-Rs and I've had a mixed experience with different types of CD-Rs. I want to make sure I get something which will, you know, actually play in a CD player.

I need two types, 1 for general burning of music & computer files, and another simply for recording the highest quality master discs for sending to the publisher.

Anyone have any recommendations? Price is always a factor as long as there isn't a huge difference in quality.

These are really, really cheap but are they any good?

Contra,

I could safely say with confidance.."Tayo Yuden" as # 1, "Verbatim" coming in second. But..these are based on my experience as a mastering engineer and replication pre-mastering technician.
Will depend on a few other variables, like;
-your writing device
-and it's configuration setup ( firmware version/burn speed )
good luck,

hmmm, so would something like: http://www.rima.com/Merchant2/mercha...ory_Code=TAIYO
be good?

I'm surprised to see Verbatim up there since I've heard bad things about them, but you can't always trust what you hear, that's for sure.

I've had mixed results with Maxwell and great results with TDK, but that's just as far as the ability to avoid making coasters is concerned.
