Default My worst nightmare!!!

My first major production with PT8 started today...........all previous stuff was single track hip hop garbage since I upgraded to PT8.Well after arming 18 tracks at once and hitting "record" all I got was nothing but "cpu overload" errors even though PT read 14% and my task manager read 58%,yeah that's how off the fu#king task manager and PT8 reads! No fu#king plugs were loaded WHATSOEVER!!!!!!!!For over 3 hrs the band waited patiently for me while I did every damn thing under the sun to fix PT8.

Long story short..........I got rid of PT8 and re-installed 7.4 and IT WORKED FU#KING FLAWLESSLY!!!

Digi admit you screwed up royaly with PT8 and go fuc#ing fix it NOW!!!!!You cost me hundreds of $$$ today so get off your lazy ass and fix your fu#kup NOW!!!!! Damn right i'm fuc#ing pissed off!

In 7.4 when my PT cpu meter reads 15% my Windows task manager reads the exact same thing. In god damn pt8 it reads 40% higher in the task manager compared to PT8's meter!FIX THIS MOTHERF#CKING SH#T NOW OR REFUND MY MONEY IN FULL! I was so embarrassed today in front of my client and lost $400 because of your bug ridden pt8.You owe me so PAY UP NOW!!! Fix your pos software!!!!!!: mad:: mad:: mad:

There is no excuse at all why 7.4 works and 8 does not.All of my plugs are up to date and my specs on my pc are perfect!I paid a small fortune for my HD rig and ya better cough up a fix or just refund me my hard earned cash! With this kind of crap i'm starting to think Steinberg has actually beat digidesign at their own game.

I think u will not get any help if u will act like this ...

chill out first ... maybe because of your anger you didn't check some of basic setups ... like buffer size , hard disk state ( set to record ) , maybe some windows update needed by PT 8 ...

Hi Meat,
I'm using pt 8 and recording 24 tracks and punching in 24 tracks for 26 min on a 100+ track session loaded with hd 4 accel surround mix with pt8. All worked fine. What are the specs on your DAW?
Best,
Brandon

I'm back to 7.4 with no issues whatsoever.PTHD8 is a joke!Digi owes me a refund as far as i'm concerned! They don't beta test their new releases they let their paying customers do it for them!!!

Like I said.......why the f#ck does 7.4 work flawlessly on my system and 8 just tank???????

I'm a pro with pro clients and labels that depend on me and my work.........digi has f#cked up on this one!!!

Damn dude, sounds like you didn't try to "fix" your problem for very long... Before you got all pissy and came in here swearing maybe you shoulda given digi tech a ring? 98% of users have no problems whatsoever so obviously pt8 is not "broken." This is not a forum for people who want to bash digi, this is where you get HELP from other digi users, so your thread is utterly useless and out of the scope of the forum.

Just because I don't have the money for an HD system doesn't mean I don't know how to use one....
