Reaper and ProTools question

I'm thinking of getting reaper, I have several VST plugins I want to run and I think this is a better option then fxpansion vst to rtas. My question, can I send audio into a vst FX plugin(reverb) then back into pro tools. Also, will it run philharmonic orchestra and other (rtas compatible) synths better routed through reaper?

Currently, Reaper ReWire allows you to use VST Virtual Intruments only with PT. The latest version of VE Pro can also be used as an fx rack for reverb, etc.

Regarding Philharmonic, which I have, just about all VI's run better in VST format.

Does anybody know if you can run multichannel outputs from a VST instrument into Pro Tools through Reaper?

I've tried putting Reaper/Rewire instances on Aux Inputs, Instrument Tracks and Audio tracks and I can't seem to get mutlichannel back into PT.

I can get Multichannel working just fine in Reaper.
