Default Core Audio System Overload

I received the following error message while working in Logic 6.0 (OS X): "Core Audio: System Overload. The audio engine was not able to process all required data in time. (-10011)". I increased the core audio buffer size from 512 to 2048, but I still get this error message. I'm running OS 10.2.4 on a DP G4/450 with 1024mb ram. Any help would be much appreciated. Logic? Not PTLE????

Anyway, how many tracks/Plug-ins are you using?
I'm curious.
I posted this before, but.

800 G3 iBook 384MB of Ram, running OS 1.2.2

Logic 5.5 with my EMI 2/6 USB interface.

My iBook managed to handle a session with,

15 "Stereo" AUDIO tracks
1 Master fader
2 Auxs.

Logic-Bulitin plug-ins
2 Platinum Verbs
1 Enverb
1 Ensemble
1 Sample delay
1 ST Delay
2 Compressors
1 Fat EQ

Buffer size was the biggest, 2048.

I got the same message as you did when I tried to insert
another Fat EQ. I think it's just that my iBook wasn't fast enough to handle another EQ.

Hope that helps! and, hope talking almost about Logic doesn't matter..

Default Re: Core Audio System Overload

Thanks for the reply. I should have mentioned that I am running Pro Tools 6.0.1 in OS X through a Digi 001, and using the new Digi Core Audio driver to run Logic. When I got the error message, I was running the Logic 6 Demo Song. I am new to both Pro Tools and Logic — just trying to work my way through the vast learning curves of both, but I would guess that my processor could not handle all that the Logic demo song was throwing at it? Who said that this insn't rocket science
