Thanks Dan! I believe you need one too.

Doug, I got the HD2 and a 192 I/O. The HD1 (core) may be all I really need - I don't know, but I figured if I ever wanted a process card, it's far cheaper to get it now with an HD2 package, than separately later on. There's also a new HD2 plugin pack that's really sweet too.

I'm still getting things hooked up, but I will say, the 192 has already passed my primary test for determining quality sound - it's really really big, and really really heavy.

When throwing down this kind of jack, (cash) I find it's helpful to keep repeating the following phrase: WTF!

Now who's gonna be the next 001'er to join me?

Tip for you married guys: Don't ask a yes or no question like; Can I can buy a HD system? It won't be very pretty. Instead ask; Honey, which should I get - HD, or a new Harley.

A Harley guy, eh? You coming out to Milwaukee for the big 100th? I plan on leaving town personally. Milwaukee is not meant to handle that kind of traffic so it is a nightmare for us locals. The last couple Harley bashes were enough to make me want to move. Plus I am a BMW guy. hehe.

Congrats on the HD.

HaHa. I’m not really a Harley guy, at least not while living in LA - too many crazy drivers. It’s just an example of something that fits into the category of "a greater evil", which is useful when negotiating with wifey for TDM

I’m more a Porsche guy myself.

Niiice - he said, one hand on chin, nodding his head like a bobble-head toy, trying to sound cool..
Yeah, I'm thinking about stepping up too. I'm just in the process of building a smallish space, got the framing almost done, the HVAC in, and the electrician coming next week. My daughter is learning to put web pages up, so she's starting on mine (home page in the profile). Once that's done though...
Congrats, man!

Good luck to you too, not that you'll need much with that shiny new box!
