Default HUGE Problem with HD 8.0.4 maybe ADC???

okay- so I recently upgraded to 8.0.4 and ever since, have been experiencing REALLY weird issues with PT placing recorded tracks EARLY. In other words, when recording- the audio sounds IN TIME, and when I stop the transport, PT is placing it early. Happens with ADC on or OFF it seems...anyone else having this problem?? I remember having this a few years ago in 7.4.x...everyone- please chime in - it's become a total cluster****....I noticed it after BASS and DRUMS were done, so now, I'm wondering if this explains why my drum track looks and sound ahead of the grid. Thanks....chime in with thoughts, diff playback engine settings, whatever if you are or have had these probs...
