Default Bye bye Bias Peak!

So, as an extra added surprise, as part of my upgrade to PT10/11 on a new Imac, I find Bias Peak is no longer being sold or supported!@#$%. So what's the new and improved program for that function now?

When Bias went out of business, Steinberg had a special offer for Peak users towards Wavelab 7 ... I think that expired back in October? Wavelab 8 has just been released.

Check out DSP-Quattro, rather similar in function. And a lot cheaper than Wavelab....

I'll second DSP Quattro. Good program. And there was a crossgrade from Peak available at one time. Don't know if it still is available but it wouldn't hurt to email him. Very responsive and nice guy.

I third it.

Best $99 you'll spend.

And if Stefano does a crossgrade, it'll be $50.

Yes he does, he was very prompt to respond on my mail with proof of ownership of Bias Peak 5, made new account for me and guided me through the purchase process. Everything lasted - from my first mail to finish - about 1 hour, two nights ago.

Great service for great program. :)

You all are correct. Stefano is good people. Just got Quattro and now a new surprise! Ive been unable to route the audio thru my digi003 like I did with bias. I can only hear it thru my mac speakers. Stefano was talkin configuring the 003 and a core audio manager, now im really scared! My concern is really screwing up my PT10 which is newly installed and running great by attempting to configure anything other than finding my 003 and clicking it as I did with the bias program. Can anyone of you sort of break this down for me if you've gone thru this. I hate to think that my song files will only be heard thru my crappiest speakers at the end process, before making copies.

How another piece of software on your machine is configured should not have any impact on your Pro Tools installation.

I'm a Wavelab user, but I would assume it would be similar in that you go into the program's preferences and select your interface and what outputs to use on that interface.
