LFE disappears?

Hi folks. Doing surround mixes today, tracks bussed to three 5.1 busses for stems and from there to the main 5.1 bus. Three times today, for no reason we could detect, there was spontaneously no signal passing through the LFE channels of the busses. I could see the kick drum, for example, feeding the LFE via the fader in the panner window - it just wasn't getting to the buss. Saved, reloaded the session, all fine. Anyone heard of this?

Happens all the time I'm still on Pro Tools HD 10.0 and Snow Leopard 10.6.8. Even on stereo mixes, when the session gets dense and some routing gets changed (adding a new track, or routing lots of tracks to a new aux) things go bye bye. Not such a big deal when it's something obvious, like the kick drum goes away; but when it happens in a complex surround mix, who knows what finally gets printed!?

Not exactly a good & secure feeling.

I have a tendency now to close & reopen sessions before printing.

I saw this on my Win7 machine, only it was the center channel that disappeared. Restarting the session fixed the problem.
