One obnoxious thing using the Belkin USB-C-to-Ethernet+Charging adapter is that you cannot use the USB port on the back of the S1 to pass through and charge while going through this adapter. It wants a "proper" power supply, so it does work with the iPad's own power charger. If anyone knows of an alternative which works with the S1's port, let me know.

One advantage of the Fire HD10 is its letterbox dimensions mean less wasted vertical space on your desk, and a shorter reflective surface.

If you get the FireHD you can use this Windows app to remove all the Amazon bloatware and turn it into a minimal, friendly Android tablet:
Amazon Fire Toolbox

w, I am very jealous, I have had no luck using the Fire HD tablets with 2 S1s, on a Macintosh.

Wish I new how to fix it.

Tablet Constantantly drop outs from the Eucon Settings

I have feel I have tried everything.....

Static IP
No static
New WiFi router, the exact one recommended by Avid.
Why am I using WiFi? I am asked, because the Fire HD 10 9th gen only has a USBC connector on it, there are currently No supported Ethernet hard wired adapters for it.
New OS X, wiped only installed a fresh Catalina and PT and Eucon
No Alexa
No WiFi sharing
Power cycles
No my Eucon WiFi router is not connected or sharing another WiFi, or connected to any other network.
No my Mac is not connected to internet or sharing any other network
Firewall off
New cables
Firmware

I will PayPal you $100 if you give me the fix using my current equipment, where I see no drop outs for 1 month.

It can’t be that hard, if Avid has this setup at trade shows, and so many people are having luck ................right?

Funny story I actually bought two Fire tablets but returned them without even trying them. Were you able to uninstall all the bloat ware with the Amazon Tool Box?

I paid the $15 a day later all the ads disappeared. Then buried in the settings I found another setting relating to ads that I disabled.

Funny thing, is after my post above I put more time into checking things. I found a suggestion about "channel 48" for 5ghz on an Amazon forum. I found inside my Archer router it was set to auto. I changed it to '48', and WAA LAA, no more drop outs. both fire HD and S1s locked and stable. Fingers crossed , I may have fixed it :)

Wi-Fi uses a few different channels so in crowded networks they 'should' choose the least used one. Unfortunately this doesn't always work, maybe you set it up when someone else's router wasn't on for instance. There are Apps for your phone to find the least uses channel, so if this fails again try that. (You got lucky with channel 48 ;-)

The RCA pro 12 fits the S1 nicely. Here is an image that I saw on reverb with someone using the RCa Pro 12 with his S1s. For my dock I got a cheap android tablet off of Amazon. Here is the link: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0...?ie=UTF8&psc=1
