Default Ex MC Control/Artist Control users and now AVID Dock User. Questions

Hi,
I have the MC Control V2 and I am happy with it, but I like to have good control always.

So what are the main differences in terms of workflow and new Features between the Artist Control and Avid Dock?

and can you have all the same tools and features that is on the Avid Control Software? or are some essential advantages having the Dock?

and Avid Control runs equal on android and IOS?

Thanks

I own both and prefer the Dock as it allows more control, the touchscreens of modern pads are bigger and better and it has better built quality.

Best

Mark

Avid Control runs on Android, iOS and Amazon Fire. The meters only Avid Control Desktop App runs on Windows and OSX.

I like the dock too,
The fader is very responsive and solid and the big wheel in the centre can be used for a lot of cool scrolling functions and raising and lowering clip gain.
The sofkeys can also be modified to your prefs through eucon.
With the Pro Tools app it makes a really powerful system.
Nearly as good as an S6!

How do you have the scroll wheel configured for zooming/clip gain? I tried setting that up but it just stutters back and forth so I ended up adding a trackpad for scrolling but the clip gain function would be great.

On a MP 7,1 as well.

You have to program it onto a soft key on the dock.

Click command and choose add new wheel.
Set the wheel to be the dock wheel and choose custom functions/clip gain.
Make sure to save your soft keys.

You have to press the soft key before it will work.

Thanks for the in depth response, set it up and seems not to work (the Vertical/Horizontal zoom are showing the same back and forth stuttering) so I'm guessing it may be something wrong with my jogwheel.

Sorry it doesn't work for you.
I hope you get it fixed up, it's a nice feature.

Maybe check if the firmware is up to date on your Dock?
