drumkit from hell 2

i just purchased drumkit from hell 2 , ive gotten the installation and registration done but have discovered the manual is garbage. it spends the entire time showing installation and registration but really no time on how to use dfh2. ive installed it as a rtas plugin in pro tools and have inserted it and it works fine. my question is where is the programming it seems like you have to perform the drums in real time to the p.t. click. im looking for exanmples on how to use it and make some at least decent drum parts without performing live. ive only had p.tools for a month and dfh2 for a day so a drum guide for dummies will be appreciated.

There are a couple of ways to do it;

you can play them to the click, yes.
You can write the notes into the MIDI track with the pencil tool in grid mode, then copy the measures as neccessary.
You can find short pre-made MIDI files, or sometimes even full songs, import them on the MIDI regions list, and then drag and drop them into the MIDI track wherever you need them. You can check over on the toontrack forum for some. The drum mapping is the same between DFH and DFH2 so you can use MIDI files created for either.
