I'm experiencing the same problem.

In my case I'm using a Avid HD I/O 16x16 interface and a 192.
Both seem to work fine separately. The moment I try them together I can't play any session. It shows the AAE 9129 error instantly.

Any advice?

I thought I had seen somewhere before that the 192 likes being the master connected to the core card. This was long ago and could have been BS, can’t remember where I saw it.

I wonder if he ran Digitest and made sure his firmware on the 192 is up to date. I checked one of mine recently because it was a cheap eBay deal ($130 with two digital cards populating the wrong slots, 1&2), at first it refused to be recognized by Pro Tools although Digitest said it was fine. Not until I removed the additional input card from my other 192 and placed it it in with the two digital cards (now in slot 3&4) did Pro Tools recognize and play nice with it. Firmware revision on both 192s was version 3.0 I believe. This is hooked to an HD5 Accel system with PT HD 10.3.8.

Are you using Loop Sync for the clock when they are both connected?
I have been using an HD I/o and 192 for many years with no issues so it is possible for sure.

It works! If I clock with word clock! If i use internal clock (like I always did) it doesn't.

You should still be able to use the internal clock with both. I’ll go fire up my rig and see if I can do some screen grabs.
