Error message "could not complete your request because..." on PTLE 8.0.3 load up

Hi -

PTLE 8.0.3 CS2 on Digi approved Lenovo T61 Laptop, Vista Business SP2

originally had 8.0.4 but had problems

Digi 002 and/or Mbox Micro.

(This setup was working fine)

Installed today an expresscard slot and an SIIG 2 port firewire expresscard because (as expected) I had problems with deteriorated firewire disk performance.

Have not used PT for 6 weeks and on booting it I get this message:

could not complete your request because assertion in "..\..\Sys\Sys_FileLoc.cpp", line 241

trashed prefs

Reinstalled 8.0.3... tried launching - same message... then CS2 update - same message.

Disk is not fragmented

device manager reports no hardware errors

Message occurs with or without the FW expresscard... i.e. 002 attached directly to internal FW port ot via expresscard

message occurs either with 002 or mbox micro attached

OK - update - this seems to be user related.

It only occurs when logged in as administrator... which is weird -

Previously I only ever ran PT logged in as admin

if I am logged in as normal user I can launch and run with no errors.
