Christopher is just fine. He is stating the truth though - those that know can't talk and those that talk don't know.

I bought the new 16" MBP without knowing I could not install Mojave on it. Spoke with 3 techs yesterday who failed to mention this as we tried to sort out my problem. First tech this morning explained. Pretty bummed. Was hoping to get back to easy production from the road.

Oh Avid, how soon shall thee sort us?

Return it or wait it out.

I’d return it if I were you and buy it when the time is right. Apple have a 2 week return policy, so hopefully you’re still within that period.

Lol yeah, it’s a weird feeling jumping on my new $5500 MacBook and using it to browse Reddit and Internet forums. What a joke.

If your accountant also knows software and hardware requirements for tools to do your job, great. Otherwise, waste of money. Just because you have to spend it doesn't mean you had to spend it on a Mac that won't run Pro Tools until possibly mid 2020. Room treatment, mics, hardware all come to mind.

Just got a note in Avid Link about 2019.12 with initial Catalina support!
