Default White noise...

Hi,

So my iMac is connected to my mbox mini 3G, that is connected to my MACKIE 24.8.

I Have my iMac main out connected to the Mackie on the 12 fader.

As soon as I connect it, I get an horrible white noise.

I also tried to connect that same mixer to another computer, a macbook, same issue. BUT, when I took the charger off the Mac, problem solved.

So, for my iMac, how can I get to make these work without that white noise?

How can I find a power cord that won't get me those issues, I heard about power conditioners, but also read that they are useless when it comes to those kind of issues.

Thanks in advance.

I see you're in France ... don't know if the same there as in the states, but sounded to me like a grounding problem ... If you're on two different grounds you sometimes get a buzz, even shocks!

Guitar players lose part of their lips when touching the microphone to sing!

Not normally white noise, but from the symptoms of what you describe it would seem to be a power issue to me.

First thing I would try is get them all plugged into the same power source and see if that doesn't solve the problem.

So I did a couple tests, plug em all on the same, changed my cord, plug my mbox on an another computer and could hear a strong difference, so it seems to be coming from my iMac since the noise in only here when my Mac is plugged on, my first though we're may be my mbox were the issue but after I plugged it to that PC I realize I was wrong
