I'll say it again. No love for the windows guys. I'm not gonna buy a new Mac so I'm hoping we will get something soon. That's actually a little aggravating. I was looking forward to the update. I'm a little let down.

PM: Anybody know what the new aax plug in Mixer.aaxplugin is for....
i don't have this in rtas ever but now getting this plug with all option left unchecked seems to be almost a default.
It's not the dither or surround mixer just mixer.aaxplugin

Because you pay less for your pc? Its one of those who is our bigger audience things. If your user base was 80% mac would you put out a new release for PC and mac once a year or would you put out what you have when you have it? 20 years later Avid is still releasing Mac then PC. Just wait a little longer and you will get your treats

Wow - Avid sure doesn't make the Mac/Win difference in 10.1.2 update clear at all. Such a shame - you hear there's an update for both Native OS, you kinda expect they'll be the same offerings.

Why not just put out a Mac Native 10.1.2 update one week and a Win Native 10.1.2 update the next week - if they need more time.

Why confuse the clients and make people scamper around a forum and feel cheated (at least until the plugins are made available).

Wow! I had checked the update on my Mac. Damn, just checked my PC and also notice no updated plugins. Guess that partially explains the size difference! Although the new plugins on Mac only add up to a few hundred MB!

dont get me wrong, im glad avid released new version for windows but as lowlights said specify what is what. i was hoping for aax versions of plugins and we didn't get it (windows people) but anyway, other than that update is smooth and it seems bugs reported were fixed

The maintenance updates (10.0.1, 10.1.1, 10.1.2) are only intended to fix bugs, not introduce new features.

I don't think Avid cares which platform costs more to us. And I highly doubt the native market is anything less then a 50/50 split.

Yes but of course the Mac side did get them. And there have been major updates to dot releases in the past. 7.4 brought elastic audio.
Not being argumentative I just was really anticipating this release bringing in some more AAX plugs.
