Melodyne ARA non functional

Melodyne standalone and AAX plugin work perfectly but ARA is useless. After two or three operations, it slows down and then grinds to a halt and freezes. This happens irrespective of any other plugins present as a test session with just vocal is as bad. So far, Rich at Melodyne has not been able to help.
It's as if ARA isn't calling up enough RAM.
I have re-installed from scratch both Melodyne and PT
PT Ultimate HDX 2013.12.1
M2 max Mac Studio OS 13.5

Please, does anybody have any suggestions as to what to look for to find a solution? Celemony have not helped, in fact they recommended installing Sonama which of course is not supported yet.
Oh and I updated to 13.6.4 which I think might have effected a slight improvement. Also, I'm going to try maxing the buffer size up to 1024 to see if that has an effect.

How many tracks have Melodyne enabled? How many analyzed (including playlists)? How long are the files on those tracks? In general, I tend to break long files up into smaller clips and consolidate those clips before analyzing; that way I know I'm not analyzing an entire long file (ARA will analyze the entire file even if you've only selected a small sub-clip of that file) - this seems to work reliably.

Agree with Rich on using ARA on smaller chunks. If I need to tune an entire track, I'll stick with the plugin

It makes no difference whether it's a long or short clip. It's useless on a test session with just one vocal track. Since 2023.12 it's broken...wasn't great before! Always been a bit buggy.
I think Avid need to sort this problem
