SC II PC RAM problem

always i do the SDRAM test the SC editor hang
up.Anybody know that problem ?

This is not a known problem with the editor. I'm more inclined to think there is either a problem with the RAM in the card, a card problem, or some corrupt software that is messing up the test.

What might give you a clue is the answer to these 2 questions: How does the card sound? Can you load samples into all the memory that is installed on the card?

If your answer is "It sounds great and I can fill all the known memory" then I'd clear out (delete) all SampleCell editor related software. This includes any SampleCell prefs and MIF files you find in your System Folder's preferences folder as well as the editor itself. Then reinstall and try another test, or just forget the testing altogether since the card seems to be working fine.

If the card is spitting out nothing but static, or the memory cannot be used then try removing all the RAM and then installing and testing 2 chips at a time. Quite often one bad RAM chip will make the card act so strangely that users think the entire card has failed. Once you figure out which chip is bad it's simply a matter of replacing it and your off and running again.

Try these suggestions and then write back and we'll go from there.
