Default Re: Any update on the CPU Errors with PT10?

I've logged 15 years using Pro Tools day in day out as my main work tool.

I've owned (via my company) about 15 systems: Mix, HD, LE with the various toolkits, etc.

Never have I had any issues until I upgraded to PT10 HD (Native). Same hardware on PT9 HD Native had absolutely no issues at all.

No matter how many times or how many ways I try to kill it, IT JUST WON'T DIE!!!!!!

Again, if it helps anyone, I get several hours without the error if I run Lion Cache Cleaner's "Rebuild Prebindings" under the "Maintain" tab.

I can't say whether it's resolved with 10.1.1 or not, as I never had the issues that some are having.
So, with 10.1.1 and 10.7.3, I find my system runs great...but it ran great before.

I have to say the same... With the exception of having tracks that dropped audio occasionally, I just haven't had issues with it..

But then again, I'm using a 8 core Clovertown not a harpertown.

I use a Harpertown, but I have a Clovertown. I'm going to set up the Clovertown with my HD Native and see if the problem is still there.

I tried to solv this problem by lower down the refresh rate of my screen, it's 60hz(NTSC) by default, I changed it to 50hz(PAL). And the 6031 error disappeared for an hour, and then comes again!

So this general problem is not limited to native systems...? that´s just crazy.

Uggghhh Avid!!!!

I has PT8 LE with a new Westmere mac. Ran so fricking good just a dream.
I switch to PT10 latest updates, new mac west mere with lion latest.
All Avid hardware (16 i/o), etc. HD Native Card.

And problems. First the ethernet drops the C|24 all day long AND ITS ON ITS OWN PORT with a crossover cable. Never had this issue with PT8.

I get these errors also the 92xx, etc.

Avid better come up with a bug fix. I know its not cpu since a ONE TRACK session with NOTHING will stop.
