Default Hydrophone recording

Hello guys!

I'm pretty new at Pro Tools, so I have some questions.

I work with an institute that does marine research, particularly orcas.

We use a LOT of hydrophone recordings... So my question here is: What's the best way to remove noises from the recording?

For example, sometimes, a boat is going by, or the water current and interferes with the recording quality of course. I know some are impossible to fix, but, some sounds like a AC level of sound basically. Same frequency, all throughout the recording.

What's the best noise reduction plugin? Or any tricks that would help reducing the noise?

I guess the best comparison is a AC on, or a guitar buzz going on all the time..

This might be a good example (even though the orcas were pretty close to the hydrophone)

and this is the extreme noise level:

Anyway, any tips will be valuable!

Thank you!!
