Default Slow Loading in OSX

I've stopped the same session loading in both worlds. Everything is installed on a different drives of a G4/733 with 1024RAM. I use HD 4. I did set the system to thousands of colours.
In 9.2.2 the session loaded in 1:37 (around 38Tracks with many plug-ins)
in OSX 10.2.8 the same session needed 2:20

I tried also with another empty session - no audio - but plug-ins
1:07 in OS 9.2.2 / 1:49 in OSX

Any comments on this?
Advice would be apreciated - or is this normal?

Thanks

coffee breaks might be 'nice' but any experience on this issue with other machines?
I am getting a dual processor G4 - will this be better?
Will Panther solve problems?

Any suggestions?

Default Re: Slow Loading in OSX - more tests

Hi,
I was curious to find out more. I made tests with empty 48tracks Sessions with just plug-ins.
Here are the times that I stopped:

loadingtime 48 tracks with Digi Comp and digi EQ 4 in - OS9 - 0:18sec / OSX - 0:25
loadingtime 48 tracks with waves RenComp and REQ6 - OS9 - 0:33sec / OSX - 0:37
loadingtime 48 tracks with McDsp CB3 and FB E6 - OS9 - 1:07sec / OSX - 5:41!!!!

So is McDsp to blame or what happens here?
Digi - any comments on this?

Default Re: Slow Loading in OSX - now far better!!!!!

Hi,

after I sended a mail to McDSP they changed something in their plug-ins and now the loading time is reduced dramatically.
The Session with 48 Tracks with E6 and CB3 that used to load 5:41 now loads in 2:53
and even better with knob interface in 1:24!!!!!!

Great news!!!!!!
