Default Deleting D-Fi and Machine Control Plug-Ins

Hi there.

I was able to sucessfully delete most of the annoying demo plug-ins that keep asking for authorization when you launch ProTools. I did this by creating a folder called "disabled plug-ins" and moved the plug-ins to that folder in the Library/App Support/Digidesign/Plug-ins folder. This worked great for the plu-ins I could see there, but I can't find D-Fi or Machine Control anywhere, even with the finder's search function. D-Fi is especially annoying as it comes up about five times during PT launch. This is in OSX Panther with PT 6.3 I think. Where can I find D-Fi and Machine Control so I can move or delete them?

Thanks,

Ellis

Machinecontrol is the Machinecontrol.dll file within Applications>Digidesign>Pro Tools. D-Fi may be there as well, but embedded in some other .dll file. My trial of Digitranslator resided hidden within OMF.dll, for example.

Good luck,

John Caldwell

http://answerbase.digidesign.com/detail.cfm?DID=1845
D-Fi is a group of 4 AudioSuite/TDM Plug-Ins (Lo-Fi, Sci-Fi, Recti-Fi, Vari-Fi).

You need to remove those 4 items from your Plug-Ins folder:
