To DIGI Support please, NO 003 and MBOX PRO in the same PC because new64 driver

Well My first problem In Windows 64 bits
Who else??
First I am aware that MBOX PRO no need the new driver.
the first time I installed PT 8.0.3 whith out the new driver(Digidesign Audio Drivers Setup (x64) as was said by Digi, okay my Mbox Pro worked greats.

So I decided to go for my Digi 003 in the same notebook, i did all is recommended and installed the driver for 64 bits and my 003 worked perfect too.
BUT I wanted use my MBOX PRO again, i open PT and there is a message "Unable to locate Digidesign hardware. make sure your hardware is connected and turned on. ClicK" OK" when the hardware is ready, I did, no results. I went to Device Manager and the MBOX PRO appears right, tried differentes drivers appears . none firewire driver is useful, Legacy, standard texas instrument from notebook, and other what appears also, tried different cable, one PCMCIA card for firewire tha i used to use before,(mean i know that PCMCIA works) and nothing get , no solution,please help if possible

My notebook is HP NW 9440 supported by Digidsign,that's why I do the question to DIGI'S support Thanks

i suggested a couple of things to you yesterday...especially the renamin' of the folders. here is the thing to remember...if you have 4gb of ram or LESS on your W7 x64 system then you do NOT need to try to use the 8.0.4b drivers. the regular 8.0.3 drivers will work for BOTH of your devices...as long as you do NOT have more than 4gb of ram installed!!! i hope that you understand thru the translation

Yes that was clear now I will try the 003 without the driver
then if i have more ram I have to choose one or other not both. thanks, any way i expect an answer from DIGi

Okaay is working as you said, whith 3gb ram.am easy now.Thanks

But I have another PC can handle 8gb ram I will have to install and uninstall if i need swapp interface 003 /MBOXPro, no seems logical,should be one way to enable/disable the 64 drivers or what ever needed that seems more logical for me I asked to DIGI support I hope they give me an answer soon,they must considerer this situation, two interfaces...

glad you got it workin' now. i can't really answer for AVIDIGI but i can say these are the kinda things that happen when somethin' is bein' BETA'd. and that's where W7 is right now. BETA!!! 8.0.3 functions as we all expect it to...drivers and all.

like i said before...if you rename the drivers folder BEFORE you install the 8.0.4b drivers then you could then go back and update your mbox 'back' to the 8.0.3 drivers by pointin' to the '8.0.3 driver folder' for W7 to go and get drivers from. make sense?? i actually did this 'cause i wanted to see what the differences in the folders were (from a files perspective)

Yeah I'm looking thru the Digi folder & I don't see the driver.exe anymore that used to be there in the previous versions; I've only put .3 on my laptop & not my other 2 comps so I'll double check & make sure I'm not overlooking it...

yo Key...what you'll find is that the 8.0.3 folder has both 32bit and 64bit files in them. whereas the 8.0.4b folders have separate installs for 32 and 64bit. so whichever one is installed it won't contain the other.

Gotcha'... I still don't see the actual Digidriver tho that actually lets u install all (multiple) drivers on'eim in the .3 folder...

For DRIVERs fold you mean C:\Program Files (x86)\Digidesignn\Drivers

that to remane?
after install 8.0.4b, willbe create another Drivers fold in the same location,C:\Program Files (x86)\Digidesignn\Drivers so wich I could delete if don't have succes,and back to the original name the first one folder drivers. wait your answerthanks
