My studios will be updated. I don't know when exactly because I usually wait for one or two .x update to get rid of the major kinks.

My personal studio.. Don't know yet. It will probably be, but then I have to content with the glowing eyes of the loved ones. But that's usually pretty easy to do

I just updated my mobile rig, so that one is a no for now. I don't see the need to update that one for what it does. I don't need the new features on that rig.

$1500 for the HD upgrade??? Oh, yes, how exciting! And after paying $299 for the Pro Tools 9 upgrade a year ago I'm asked to pay another $299 for the upgrade to 10. And what will the cost be for the 64 bit upgrade? I've never complained about Pro Tools pricing but this is pretty excessive in my opinion. And now come all of the AAX plugins and upgrades, etc. And this Avid Vantage is looking a lot like Waves WUP- Which I have boycotted for years and not missed them at all.

Because the upgrade is on the same price as the old upgrades were, but with much more power for the bang. It's even more evident when you are actually buying from scratch. Same interface, hdx is 5 000 less expansive than a HD3 system, and still out-powers the hd3. So do the math.

Well I'd wait on the next year tid bits. Until it's officially announced by Avid. You never know. Personally, I'd think they would give a bit more time in between to let the old system be phased out more.
