Default Pro Tools and non-digi control surface

I have a Mixed Logic 24 channel control surface that I am trying to connect to PT 10.. It has both USB and Midi communications options... I am trying to get the USB connection operational.. I know that the only way that PT talks non- Digi control surfaces is using the HUI protocal. If I hook up via the midi ports communications works in both directions but since the RME Hammerfal 9652 has only two ins and out midi connections it only works for channels 1-16. Hooked up via USB I can talk to PT, but only from the control surface not back to the board. BTW it works fine via USB with SONAR. I have been in contact with Mixed Logic support and feel that it is a set-up problem with PT

System: Windows 7 64 bit, Quad AMD Processor

Are you able to use any other DAWs to ensure the problem is within pro tools

Using the USB connection I have a one way conversation with PT--- From the console to PT. Using the midi connection I can go from the console to PT and from PT to the console. I would use the midi connection but the RME card I have in the PC only has two in and two out midi connections and the board needs three to cover all 24 faders.

Probably not much help but I have been able to configure 3 bheringer bcf2000s via USB with pt. As I recall it was not super intuitive but I did document it in a word file.

Hey guys thanks for the interest but I seems as though have found my problem on my own.... cheers.

Going thru the Avid PC optomizing script they mention that not running in Pro Tools Administrator mode might cause Contols Surface problems.. Well if you do a right click on the PT icon on the desk top, select properties, and click on administrator mode everything works ....imagine
