No core audio for 7,4???
Hello
I just installed PTLE 7,4 on my MacPro (Hapertown) At first it says installation failed when I was installing PTLE 7,4. BUt after I tried installing 7,4cs2, then it says installation suceed and I was able to launch Protools without problem. But the weird thing is, I can't find my Core Audio Manager... Does PTLE 7,4 suppose to have it? Thanks |

Re: No core audio for 7,4???
Core Audio usually installs by default as part of the standard Pro Tools installation.
What OS ? Does PT play back through the Digi interface (you don't say which) OK? What can you see in System Prefs/Sound or after launching AudioMidi set-up in Applications/Utilities? http://www.myspace.com/philogg |

Re: No core audio for 7,4???
Hello
I'm on 10,5,2 I tried it on 10,5,1 before, same result... I have Digi002r and I tried to play a song through iTune and it doesn't play through my Digi002r. And in system preferences/sound, there's only built-in audio... I'm clueless what happens here... |

Re: No core audio for 7,4???
Few users have managed to get PT working reliably with Leopard. A qualified version of PT LE for Hapertown processors is probably not too far away given the support in the recent HD release. However, until this time, the only thing I can suggest is the dual boot workaround put forward by Digidesign.
Pro Tools LE® are currently not compatible with the Mac OS X 10.5 (Leopard) operating system. Pro Tools HD 7.4.1 software for 8-Core Mac Pro models works with Mac OS X 10.5.1 only, and is NOT compatible with Apple’s new Mac OS X 10.5.2 release. Please do not update your OS until we’ve made an official announcement about compatibility. For the latest information, check the Product News section of the Digidesign website regarding upcoming support: Information on Pro Tools Compatibility with Mac OS X Leopard — Updated February 11, 2008 For all systems other than Pro Tools HD 7.4.1 for Mac Pro: If you choose to upgrade to Mac OS X 10.5 (Leopard), you will need to install it on a separate hard drive or drive partition. To use Pro Tools LE or M-Powered 7.x currently, you will need to boot from a Mac OS X 10.4 (Tiger) startup system. http://www.myspace.com/philogg |
