Default Users of the 11R live direct into the P.A.

I have a couple of questions. I don't want big volume jumps or drops when switching patches. Only a bit of a jump for solos. I have set my rig balance on all patches I will be using to -7.5. I haven't ran it through our p.a. yet to see if it will work. Do you set all your patches at a certain volume on the rig balance? Should I set my patches at 0 (Unity)? Should I set up my solo patches at a higher amount on the rig balance, so they are a bit louder than my rhythm channels?

I have my solo patches a bit louder than the others.

I am trying to use an expression pedal for wah. I have it plugged into P2. I made sure pedal is set to wah on the 11R, and P2 is on, on the GCP, with value 004 (Wah postion). When I step on the pedal nothing happens. Should I set the wah bypass 043 value to one of the Instant Access buttons (#8)? Or, should I set the pedal control to 043 on the GCP, to control wah bypass?

I have never used a GCP but this should not be hard. I can’t follow what you are exactly doing, but this should not be hard for you to troubleshoot.

What exact expression pedal, connected with what exact cable into pedal port 2 on the GCP?

“pedal set to wah”? Where? In the Eleven Rack, this is irrelevant, you are not using an Expression pedal on the Eleven Rack, you are using a MIDI cc controller.... that happens to have an expression pedal attached.

Why are you worried about wah bypass? Is the wah in the rig on or off... look at the front panel? Does moving the expression pedal attached to the GCP cause the wah pedal to move on the Eleven Rack screen? Or are you also trying to get the pedal to do bypass? (It can’t do that)

If not... is the GCP even sending anything?.... install any one of many MIDI
debug/sniffer/capture tools on your computer and look at exactly what the GCP is sending.

I have dedicated patches for wah as I eq a bit differently and add a bit more gain. So on those patched the wah is always on and don't turn it on/off.
Have you calibrated the pedal? This will show you values as you move it.
Have you assigned the pedal to control wah on the rig?

M-Audio EX-P.

Ok, got it.

I want to be able to turn the wah on (and off) for all my patches. I don't use the wah often but, if the need arises, I want the ability.

I may have to assign the wah bypass to an instant access button on the GCP, to turn it on and off. I'll try a couple of things to see what works.
