Default New Xpand user....slow going through presets

So I installed Xpand V1.1 that came with my 002R, read the manual, I like the preset sounds(which is good since you can't save a patch)LOVE the arpeggiator. I'm finding that going through the preset lists to be very slow and a bit frustrating with just one instantiation....the only softsynth in a test session I use for testing out plugs. It can't be my computer unless Xpand needs tons of memory. With synths like Imposcar and Oddity surfing through presets is real speedy and nothing like this. Has anyone seen this?
