I just test it, it's doesn't seem to have any slow down.

I've tested on a Mac Pro 4.1 2009/16G Ram/512 SSD for OSX/ATI Radeaon HD 5770/ PT HD 12.4 - > Native PCIe + HD Omni (with HD driver 12.4) / Decklink 4K PCIe with Video ref / Fibre Channel PCIe LSILogic
EL Capitan 10.11.2

Thanks for checking Marco. Strange as its rather slow for me on both Macs.
It takes pretty long until the Audio Files checkbox is checked.

I will try them on another mac and give you some insight.

Thx Marco. Yes, thats exactly what I am seeing, totally slow. The same script runs about 3-4 times faster on Yosemite.

I've found this by the way.

Quote:
Script seemed to be slow because of what appears to be a system-related slowness in El Capitan with the GUI Scripting “click” command. His script uses this functionality to automatically click a menu item from a status bar item, and for some reason this click is taking a long time even when the script is run from Script Editor.

Thx Marco.
My script is not clicking a status bar item but a checkbox in a none cocoa dialog window. Anyway, there’s no explanation as to why El Capitan is so slow in this regard.
I am not sure who’s supposed to fix this slowness, Apple or Avid.

Better complain to both and see who try to resolve this. :)

These are really, really great. Thanks so much for sharing them.

Any chance you could share the script commands to close the AudioSuite window? I'm trying to create a script that will loop through and close all the audiosuite plugins open, not just the one. Do you know if this is possible?
