Do yourself a favour spend $500 on the HD 8x8x8 or $1000 on the HD16x16 . They are great. Unless you will never need the expanded i/o. To me it seems like a lot of money not to have any upgrade possibilities . It will cost $4 to $5000 later on if your needs change and they always do , for me anyways

TB is quite a ways off and if they do come up with something I'll sure there will be some sort of adapter/upgrade thing. I do know they are working to create a TB PCI-e 3 card box, but frankly you wouldn't need that until Mac Pro's are a thing of the past.

You're gonna love the Omni. Smooth beautiful sound. Noisy little unit though so hopefully you have a iso box or a machine room.

Noisy even with the firmware updates?

Im waiting for mine. Iv got a small one room home studio.
I hope i can track beside it. Worst case senario i have to pace it
in the nextdoor room, but that would be a shame.

Then there sould be an remote for it.

Iv ordered Omni+Native and hopefully it should be here today or just over the weekend. I will give feedback about the Omni fan as soon as I get to use it.

Make sure you do do that firmware update after that it was just fine noise wise but before was another story.

Mine has the latest version (2.6) and it's very quiet.
