Like, physically pick it up? If so, that doesn't do anything. Doesn't even change the frequency or sound of the hiss. The only time it goes away is when the interface is unplugged from the hard drive. If this helps, my chain is:
Computer>Glyph>410
And the connections are:
FireWire 800 from the computer to Glyph, and Firewire 400/800 cable into 800 port of Glyph from the 410's 400 port.
