I too have the same problem. I just installed a complete new system with 8.0.3, a Hollywood Dazzle video converter(not a Canopus) and everytime I restart a session with video Pro Tools crashes. Turning the box off and firing it up after I've re-opened doesn't work for me but I've found that when I turn off the " play video out Firewire" option and leave rhe video on my monitor when I close it the session re-opens correctly. It's a pain and obviously a temporary fix, but it will get you through the day. Has anyone heard of any real fixes for this problem?
