However, having said all that, I will give you my impressions of the Pre’s (as far as I can discern, bearing in mind my post above…)
The 003 sounds by far & away the nicest to me, with the 002 coming in second, not too far behind the 003, but sounding harsher in the top end…
The Voicemaster pre, just sounded like any other Focusrite Platinum pre to me, nasty harsh & thin… and very far below the other two… (sorry, I did try and think of something nice to say about it...)
