Default Re: Help getting started with Pro Tools 001

I would suggest buying an

- AMD XP2200+
- an ASUS A7V333 Motherboard
- 512 DDR PC2700 ram
- 2 40gig ata 100 (or 133) 7200 rpm Drives, use 1 for installing all your programs and the other for storing audio files.
- Either a Matrox Milenium G550 or a Radion 7500 graphics card, with duel head display (so you can have two monitors)

If you go to any online store you can order all of these peices at good prices, then if you need to go to a local computer dealer and pay a small amount $50 or so for them to put it all together and set it up for you. This will be alot cheaper than buying a name brand computer and will be alot better configured for audio.

Also get a nice set of speakers and a mic and go for it!
