I swear, no one reads the manuals.
No one reads the posts, either.

The subject is "Compressing a Pro Tools file to a Audio file (Mp3) ." But the advice given was to bounce to a WAV file, which is NOT compressed and NOT an MP3. In order to create an MP3 in Pro Tools, you need the MP3 option (still a $20 purchase, right?). Then, choose MP3 as the bounce format.

Alternatively, you can bounce to an uncompressed format like WAV or AIFF and compress in a third-party audio app.
