There are a few different workflows here that are being described. You are referring to bus interrogation which was a feature that we also had implemented on ICON. This would let you show all tracks which were contributing to the input of a selected bus / path (reverse) or simply showing all tracks that were assigned to the same bus / path (forward). Very useful.
