I am not Waves customer service and am no WUP expert either so I could be wrong, but my understanding is that you would pay the $200/bundle to get up to date, then the annual fee starting the following year. I do understand that any policy change is going to raise questions (justifiably), but hope that people will cut Waves some slack during what is a very busy time for support questions like these.

Thanks, that's the way I interpreted it but wanted to get a sanity check. I realize you don't work for them.
I am not one of the people who has ranted and raved about WUP; it was (is) Waves' right to implement a policy, and it was (is) the right of its customers to choose whether it was a sufficient value for them. For me, at the former prices, it wasn't, so I simply chose not to do any more business with them. Under the new policy, the value for me is there, so they will regain a customer. Presumably people like me are the reason they have changed their policy. As Michael Corleone said, "it's not personal, it's just business."
