Default Re: Pro Tools 12 with Steinberg UR44

Hi, I have a similar problem. I only have pro-tools 10, however, the same issues. I turn down the fader on the dsp mixer and then the sound that is heard is pro-tools only. The dsp mixer is actually quite handy as you get much less latency. So, when recording I actually have the opposite, I have the rec armed track fader within pro-tools turned to 0, and only use the the signal from dsp, then when mixing I turn the dsp channel down and mix using the pro tools mixer. You can keep the dsp mixer open. . A question from myself though...as signals are coming through both soft mixers, is the signal being split or compromised somewhere? Or are you just able to access the signal(in full) at two different places in the chain, the dsp mixer only letting you hear the sound?
