Default Re: Air Con in the studio, advice please.

My control room is also a 20' x 20' room over the garage. Even though I have central cooling, the room gets about 10 degrees F warmer than the rest of upstairs due to electronic equipment, a refrigerator in the maid's kitchenette and water heater in the garage below. I bought a portable 10,000 btu A/C unit that keeps the room pretty cool. Even in the summer I can get away with not having to turn the 5 ton central air unit for all of my 2nd floor until about 1PM in the afternoon.

Here is a link to a picture of it in action: https://i.imgur.com/09XuQeT.jpg

It has 3 fan speeds and even a timer that I can use to turn it on early before I get upstairs. Timer can also be used to turn it off at night, but I just use the remote to turn it off manually.
