Default Why is Time Shift so horrible?

One of the first things I do after deleting preferences is to change the default Time stretching plug in to the old TCE.

It has artifacts, but it's a lot smoother! Time Shift always leaves horrible clicks and weird pitch changing effects. I haven't found one application where Time Shift was better to use for quick audio region stretching...

Who agrees/disagrees with me?
