Since 7.0 and all the added pages under the softkeys, the USER definable pages have become SO much more usefull.
Depending on wether I'm mixing or tracking or editing I now DO use them and have become quite fond of them. ( I admit in my early Icon days I couldn't see that much use for them)
A few that are there permanently are :
meters post / pre switching
new track
system usage
Touch value on / off
keeps me from go look for then in the different sections and pages
