That could be a variation of what I've found. I think it relates to something screwy going on when dragging a WAV in from the desktop when "copy files on import" is unchecked. I get no output on the R leg of the offending stereo channel when that happens, until I close and re-open the project.
Could be something else again of course.
The good news is for me the video engine is the most reliable its ever been in 1018.4. Swings, roundabouts etc.
