Hey all,
Im hoping to make 2010 my year of upgrades. Currently Im just running an MBox2 in my home studio which really just isnt cutting the butter anymore - the sound quality and number of channels is really holding me back.
Im looking at recording bands and small setups, I currently do all my mixing and mastering ITB.
To start with I was looking at getting myself an API a2d, which from everything ive heard and read is a great little unit to upgrade my pres. Im also looking at ugrading to a 003 to increase my channels and give me some faders to work with, that Im really missing at home.
Now here comes my dilema...
With digi hinting (and the DUC hoping!) about new and wonderful things for the future, Im wondering wether to hold off for a while before making any purchases. This would give me a chance to save more and possibly buy the new (and hopefully better) option. But with the aussie dollar so high right now I can grab a pretty sweet deal on hardware from the US.
What do you guys think?!
